北京大学第三医院成形外科(简称北医三院成形科)是新中国成立的第一个整形外科专业科室，作为向中华人民共和国建国的献礼由中国整形外科创始人之一的朱洪荫教授于1949年9月3日创立。在此曾诞生了国内首例食指移转拇指再造术(1957年)、中国整形外科的第一本专著《成形外科学概要》(1959年)、以成形外科为重点成立的具有综合学科支撑的综合医院——北京医学院第四医院(1963年)、新中国第一位整形外科毕业研究生(1964年)、卫生部批准成立的成形外科研究室(1964年)——我国第一个由临床和实验室两部分组成的医教研无缝衔接的研究型整形外科学科。1965年成形外科并入北医三院。之后北医三院成形外科完成了首例“寄生性头部连胎的副头切除术”(1979年)、颅骨双侧冠状缝早闭矫正术(1982年)、首例变性手术(男变女,1983年)，成立成形外科研究中心(1984年)。朱洪荫主编了我国第一部《中国医学百科全书?整形外科》分册(1986年)。北医三院成形外科美容门诊建立(1988年)……北医三院成形外科在2014年成为国家食品药品监督管理总局批准的整形外科药物临床试验认定专业，2018年被国家卫生健康委员会批准为国家临床重点专科。历经70年的发展，北医三院成形外科医教研并举，坚持整形再造和美容整形并重发展。作为整形外科疑难重症诊治中心，致力于整形外科疑难复杂手术，注重微创化和个性化精准治疗的理念。北医三院成形外科因其精益求精的技术和严谨求实的学风被誉为整形美容外科界的学院派。作为中国整形外科人才培养的摇篮，毕业的硕士、博士、博士后、跨世纪人才、专科医师、规培医生、进修医生等，如今桃李满天下。北医三院成形科的创建和成长是中国整形外科学科发展的代表。TheDepartmentofPlasticSurgery,PekingUniversityThirdHospitalisthefirstplasticsurgerydepartmentestablishedinneweraofChina.AsatributetothefoundingofthePeople'sRepublicofChina,professorZhuHongyin,oneofthepioneersofplasticsurgeryinChina,foundedthedepartmentonSeptember3,1949.Ourdepartmenthadthefirstcaseofthumbreconstructionbytransplanttheindexfinger(1957);publishedthefirstmonographofplasticsurgeryinChina,TheEssentialsofPlasticSurgery(1959);establishedTheFourthHospitalofBeijingMedicalCollege,ageneralhospitalwhichwasfocusedonplasticsurgeryasthekeydiscipline(1963);conferedthefirstgraduatestudentofplasticsurgeryinNewChina(1964);wasapprovedbytheMinistryofHealthofChinathelaboratoryofplasticsurgery(1964)-thefirstresearch-orientedplasticsurgerydisciplineinChinawhichiscomposedofclinicalpracticeandlaboratoryparts.In1965,ourdepartmentwasmergedintoTheThirdHospitalofBeijingMedicalCollege(ThePekingUniversityThirdHospital).Afterthat,wecompletedthefirstaccessorycephalectomyofparasiticheadconjoinedfetus(1979),thecorrectionofearlyslosureofbilateralcoronalsutureofskull(1982),thefirstcaseoftranssexualoperation(maletofemale,1983),andestablishedtheResearchCenterofplasticsurgery(1984).ZhuHongyin,asthechiefeditor,compiledthefirstEncyclopediaofChineseMedicine,theplasticsurgeryvolume(1986).TheCosmeticSurgeryClinicwassetupinourdepartment(1988)……In2014,ourdepartmentwasgrantedthespecialtyofclinicaltrialsofplasticsurgerydrugsbyChineseFoodandDrugAdministration.In2018,ourdepartmentobtainedthecertificationofqualifiedasthenationalkeyclinicalspecialtybyNationalHealthCommissionofChina.Aftermorethan70years,nomattertheclinicalpractice,themedicalteachingorthemedicalstudyhaveallbeendevelopedsimultaneouslyinourdepartment.Moreover,boththeplasticreconstructionandtheaestheticplasticsurgeryaredevelopedatthesamestep.Asthecenterforthediagnosisandtreatmentofdifficultandseverecasesinplasticsurgery,wecommittedtothedifficultandcomplicatedoperations,focusingontheconceptofminimallyinvasiveandpersonalizedtreatment.Ourdepartmentisknownforitsacademicstyleinplasticandcosmeticsurgery,becauseofourexcellenttechnologyandrigorousandrealisticstyleofstudy.AsthetrainingcradleofChineseplasticsurgeons,lotsofpostgraduatestudentsandpostdoctoraltraineesaswellastheadvancedtrainingdoctorsweregraduatedfromourdepartment.TheestablishmentanddevelopmentofTheDepartmentofPlasticSurgery,PekingUniversityThirdHospitalistheresentativeofthedevelopmentofplasticsurgeryinChina.
